Renewable Parts Ltd are the UK’s leading independent supply chain company operating in the wind industry. The business has invested significantly in engineering capability and expertise to develop the innovative Refurbishment Centre which is recirculating a wide range of parts in the industry. In doing this the business has created a circular economy, working closely with customers to create solutions.

The successful candidate will work as an engineering project manager to complete a specific project over a 12-month period. The project aim is to develop an effective, scalable process for refurbishing end of life wind turbine parts (specifically yaw gears) and bring them back to the market as high-quality parts. This will be an R&D project encompassing process development, product performance testing and development of appropriate warranties. Validation of the quality and performance of the refurbished components is key for industry acceptance.

The project will involve:

• Failure analysis and identification

• Reverse engineering

• Product design

• Material testing and analysis

• Performance testing through the development of a testing rig
