Clonarn Clover Limited began as Farrelly’s Eggs in the early 1980’s. The business started back then with 150 free range hens and today has a free-range flock of 200,000 hens and produces and packs over 1 million eggs per week. They are 100% dedicated to free range where ‘the hens come first’ as ‘Our happy hens lay the healthiest eggs’. The company have ‘Bord Bia’ approval and are a Certified Organic Egg Farmer.

Clonarn Clover Ltd have identified an opportunity to develop new products in their business. This role will involve providing a creative flair, skilled technical and new product development (NPD) support to the company through facilitating NPD and innovation, meeting all the internal and external requirements of the business and within the expected timeframes and budget expectations.

• Effectively manage a range of innovation and product improvement projects that deliver profitable products

• Utilise social media channels to promote company innovation

• Work effectively with other key functions to deliver new products and improve existing products

• Understand and apply all relevant food safety regulations and laws to all projects such as HACCP, GMP, BRC etc

• Manage implementation and delivery of the NPD Process from concept to launch

• Source, review and assess new ingredients and products for the site

• Manage recipe, ingredient and process changes and record all the relevant information

• Plan and lead factory trials for products

• Strategize and implement partnering for third party manufacturing

• Ensure all paperwork relevant to the project is recorded and keep up to date

• To organise, participate and present at customer visits on behalf of the company

• To carry out the tasks outlined in the project workplan and liaise with your Company and Academic Supervisors on an ongoing basis.

• To organise and lead monthly technical meetings with the core project team (Company and Academic Supervisor)

• To report formally on a quarterly basis on project progress against the workplan to the Project Management Team

• To train staff so that the new technology is fully transferred and embedded in the company
