Co-Innovate are seeking applicants for a Procurement Manager job vacancy at Concrete Batching Systems Ltd, based in Newry, Northern Ireland, which involves responsibility for purchasing & materials stock control. The ideal candidate will require qualifications in manufacturing management, industrial engineering or an equivalent discipline. The position requires competency in IT skills and proficiency in project management, and with experience in materials management within a manufacturing environment. This role at a manufacturer of batching plants for concrete production, involves the purchasing of goods, materials, components or services as required by the company, in addition to reviewing the current purchasing systems, procurement processes & procedures including billing of materials (BoM), and implementation of a suitable MRP and ERP system.

Concrete Batching Systems is a well-established manufacturing business, delivering end-end solutions to our customers covering all aspects of product including design, in-house manufacturing and onsite installation. Due to rapid growth and expansion we have introduced the role outlined below, this is an excellent opportunity for someone to lead, develop and grow the purchasing processes and facility.

Purchase goods, materials, components or services required by company

Review company’s current purchasing processes and implement an MRP/ERP system that best suits the company requirements

Ensure continuous supply of required goods and materials and communicate any supply problems

Explore alternate sources for goods and materials.

Development of appropriate formalised purchasing procedures

To formulate and compile reports such as supplier performance, cost reductions.

Maintenance of Bills of Materials and prioritising kitting schedules with Stores.

Build relationships with key staff, developing channels of communication to ensure availability of stock.

Gain an understanding of the products manufactured and their constituent parts

Liaise with customers to understand their spare parts requirements, manage spare part stock and sales.

Work as team with design, production and financing to ensure that our end to end processes are as efficient and profitable as possible.
